Hops and Habanas

First Annual Craft Brew Competition

August, 2011

Thanks to all who came out to partake in sampling our Misissippi Homebrewers creations. We had a total of 25 beers in the end to try. The beer these guys had made were simply fantastic! There are very few beers you can buy at the store can rival what these expert brewers can create at home. If you missed this event this year, please come next year!

1st Top of the Hops Beer Festival, 2010 Photo's!

The first 2 sections of this photo gallary are from the first Beer Festival held July 2010 at the Jackson Convention Center. Nearly 2,500 people attended this inagural event! The event planners were stunned by the turn out for a first time event. To say the least, Jackson has was waiting for something like this!  Hops and Habanas was one of the major sponsors of course  being we are the Jackson Metro's GO TO store to find the Craft Brews featured at this event. We LOVE Beer and know you do too! We pride ourselves on bringing you the best selections of beer available in Mississippi with a staff that is knowledgable to help you with your selections.

We can't wait for July 30th, 2011 for the 2nd Annual Top of the Hops Beer Festival. Hope to see you there!

More Photo's of the Event!

The International Cigar Trade Show (IPCPR)

New Orleans August, 2010

My wife and I attend the annual Cigar Trade Shows which has been in New Orleans the past 2 years.  It is a lot of fun for us to spend several days meeting with our cigar supplies to find out what is coming to the market and visit with other Cigar Shop owners. It is a HUGE event and we usually don't make it through the entire event area before we have to head back to Madison. Wish we could spend more time at the event as there is MUCH to see as you can tell from the photos! Oh, the last pic is Trayce and I with Rocky Patel from of course, Rocky Patel Cigars! He is a Green Bay Packer Fan just like us!

Hops and Habanas 2nd Anniversary Party

Kristo's Greek Restaurant, February 2011

We had GREAT night celebrating our the start of our third year in business by partaking in beer and food at Kristo's here in Madison. I picked the COLDEST DAY of the year of course for the event. But, we had a great turnout and a very nice time. The kegs were drained and people went home well fed and with no lingering thirst! Thanks to all who attended and look forward to next years event that will NOT be held in February though it is our Anniversary Month!
